Sometimes the stories people create are so much mo Sometimes the stories people create are so much more about how they will benefit... the truth is harder to face when they don’t benefit from it.
Trust God. Believe that He sees all and knows your heart- because when you’re a person aligned with Christ that doesn’t scare you.

Sensory issues are so hard. Some of it I wish we c Sensory issues are so hard. Some of it I wish we could just outgrow already. Especially the hair struggle.
She hates having her hair brushed. She hates having her head touched. She hates having her ears checked. She hates having her space anywhere around her head invaded. It’s been a struggle since Dr McClay Mr ENT strapped her down on me at 2 for an ear appointment all because he saw Down syndrome on her chart. She never had any aversion to any doctors before that.
As she gets older and bigger, & then since my surgery... I just haven’t been physically strong enough to wrestle with her.
Until today.
Today I didn’t back down. We wrestled and brushed it out. No more tangled up pieces. And then i cut over 8 inches off. Now, it’s something she can learn to brush on her own. And I have been gently tossing my fingers through it and telling her how soft and pretty it is. Hoping she will get a little less resistant to us touching her sweet head.
At the end, she shook her head while looking in the mirror and said- I am so cute. Yes yes my little WWE cutie -you are.
Thank goodness we’re all done.

don’t let others insecurities cast shadows over don’t let others insecurities cast shadows over your light. don’t allow the desires of who you are and what you are called to do shrink back to make others feel better. your confidence and your heart work is built on many failures and the endurance to get back up time and time again. inspire and encourage others... but the work is theirs to do.
comparison and jealousy are the enemies greater tools for distraction. wanting someone else’s life keeps you from living yours. and being in theirs for the right reasons.
I have been the girl on both sides of that at one point or another in my life. I cant encourage you enough to be grateful for all the good and bad of your story. Gods plan to use it all is waiting for you to embrace you- all that makes you wonderful and beautiful. Don’t get stuck longing for something else.

This little project has been a great example of le This little project has been a great example of learning to listen and be willing to tear down and start over... when we slow down and work together. We can do better
God has torn down many walls I’ve built. And I am so grateful for His grace and mercy for all my mistakes.
As recovering perfectionist, I am working towards the beauty of progress. I’ve never been good in the “middle”. Anxious and impatient. But trying to embrace the grace and learn to see beauty in the now- no matter how long it takes or how we get there. Progress for better is always good.
Live like Christ. Bear one another’s burdens. I Live like Christ. Bear one another’s burdens. I think the Message version is pretty clear. That’s the only thing this mama will not compromise on in my life and my home.
This world absolutely nothing to lose by respecting, loving, making right what so many generations have got wrong. - except hate.
And what if we succeeded in that?

I am not going to be quiet. I won’t be told that I’m brainwashed. I truly believe in God and I truly believe that all are made in the image of God to reflect the likeness and glory of God. His Son Jesus Christ is the only Savior and I am not trying to be anything but a good human who believes that all skin tones including my two children, and all POC deserve the same equality and life that I’m privileged to live. Because apart from Christ, I deserve nothing either. But it’s His blood that says differently. So I’m going to say this- don’t comment hateful things. You can unfollow me. I’ve never been concerned about my numbers and I am not about to start now.
